Crazy 4 Challenges - Play on Words

The Crazy 4 Challenges team are taking inspiration from the words "Skating on thin ice".  I came across a technique called Black Ice on You Tube and thought it suiting for the challenge.
I first stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up! called Birthday Wishes for You in black Memento onto a piece of Silver Foil card stock.  I used several colors of Stampin' Blends to color the inside.  I noticed that if I colored over the black Memento it would get lighter - I think it's because of the foil type cardstock.  So after I finished coloring it in, I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line it up and stamped again using Versamark and heat embossed with black powder.  As you can see, I didn't line it up perfectly and it has a little shadow - a happy mistake as I really like it that way.  After it cooled down, I swiped the Versamark pad over the top and covered it with holographic embossing powder and heat set.  There's a lot of texture to the main panel and it also intensified the coloring.  For a bit of color I added a bit of polka-dot washi tape.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sketch

It's the third Saturday of the month and that means it's sketch time with Crazy 4 Challenges.  For the triangular shape, I stamped the flowers from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous onto tissue paper.  After stamping, I crumbled up the tissue paper and adhered it to a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I think I smoothed out the tissue paper too much and lost some of the texture ☹.
I stamped some more flowers onto the inside of the card and on the envelope as well.  The flowers are a 2-step stamping and being photo polymer makes them very easy to line up.  The stamp also has a little triangular shape on each stamp to make it even easier to line up.
Happy Stampin',

Happiest of Days

I love the daintiness of this stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Happiest of Days.  I stamped the sentiment onto an oval die cut from Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I traced around the sentiment with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker and sponged a bit of Tangerine Tango ink around the edges as well.
The inside sentiment and the cake comes in the set as well.
Happy Stampin',

Crazy 4 Challenges - Perfect Blend

It's Crazy 4 Challenges Perfect Blend challenge.  Create a card with coffee for inspiration in the form of colors, stamps or dies.  I thought I would use different shades of brown to make this masculine card.
I used the Tailored Tag to punch various piece of patterned paper to piece together on a Very Vanilla mat.  I distressed the edges just a little bit, stamped the sentiment from Vertical Greetings, add a bow tie using the Bow Builder punch and it's done!

I followed the punched pattern for the inside of the card and just a sentiment finishes off my masculine card.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston's Paper Pros - Spring Flowers

It's time for the Paper Pros Spring Flowers Challenge.  I used Katherine Label to stamp my sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  I added a strip of grass using Karen's Nature Edges die set.
And now it's Spring!  I used the Tree Pop Up along with Nature Edges and Katherine Label for the inside scene.  The die cut flowers were from a scrap piece of cardstock that I was practicing Brusho techniques.  I stamped a few flowers and a sentiment onto a Katherine Label.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Stencil and Dies

The Crazy 4 Challenges team are using dies to create a stencil to use on our cards this week.  I used Karen Burniston's Nature Edges to die cut a piece of scrap paper.  I used that wavy piece to sponge different colors all over the Whisper White panel.  I used punched a Starburst and put the raccoon in the opening.
For the inside, I used the Spinner Square Pop Up to animate another animal from the We Must Celebrate stamp set.  I used the punch from the front to adhere the little bear to it.
