Crazy 4 Challenges - National Desert Day

Did you know that today is National Desert Day?  So you know what that means?  It means that the Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team are making cards with any sort of yummy dessert on it.
I had these cake Peel-Off-Stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs and thought they would be the perfect yummy treat for this challenge.  I placed Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto white cardstock, removed the liner and placed the sticker (sticky side up) onto the liner and then put the sticky white cardstock on top.  Doing it this way ensures that your sticker stays flat to the sticky white cardstock.  Then I covered it all with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and colored with markers.  Add a die cut sentiment from Karen Burniston Word Set 2 Birthday - and the front is done.
I wanted to use the negative portion of the peel-off-sticker so to do that, I used a Transfer Sheet.  Basically you pick up the peel-off-sticker with the sticky Transfer Sheet and then burnish it onto your project.  To burnish it, I used a bone folder.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Karen Burniston Paper Pros - Holiday Cards

It's time for the Holiday themed Paper Pros challenge.  Caz Council set the challenge this month to make a holiday themed card.  With some help from Karen Burniston's Snowman, I chose Christmas themed card.
I had just enough room on my snowman's body to stamp a sentiment from Stampin Up!'s  Season Like Christmas stamp set.
Oh what's that on the inside?  Well keep opening the card and you will see lots of snowmen!
I used the Christmas Tree Pop Up as a base for all those snowmen (8 to be exact).  I did snip a little bit of the bottom of the tree off, otherwise they fit on there very nicely.  I followed the guidelines for a tree with a star because I wasn't sure how much room I needed for the hats.  To ensure that the hats were within the confines of the card, I adhered them while the card was slightly closed.  You can see the hats aren't taller than the tree itself; however, they are wider.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Make a Card

Today is World Card Making Day, so the Crazy 4 Challenges Design Team members are making cards of any design, any shape!

I had this piece of inked paper laying around so that was my starting point.  To make the paper, I used Rich Razzelberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Pads.  I smeared each color ink onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and dragged the paper through all the ink.  I stamped a sentiment from Five for All onto a Katherine Label die cut.
The inside is very simple (as you can see).

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Inspiration Challenge

It's time for an inspiration challenge with Crazy 4 Challenges.  The team is to be inspired by a beautiful cake decked out in mint/aqua, coral, gold, and white.  With my parents anniversary this month I thought it suiting to make them an anniversary card.  I stamped the sentiment from One in a Million onto a decorator label from Twist Panel Pop Up.  I swiped the Marbled background stamp with Calypso Coral and then sponged Lost Lagoon on the stamp and then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White.
Both my parents love baked good and my Mom is a fabulous baker!  Happy 51st anniversary to my wonderful parents!  So to help celebrate I used the Cupcake Pop Up for the inside of my card.  I die cut some hearts and the bow from Gold Foil for a regal touch.  I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes on a piece of Whisper White and punched it out with Duet Banner Punch.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Interactive Card

The Crazy 4 Challenges designer challenge of interactive card is right up my alley!  I stamped this sentiment using Stampin' Up!'s Delightful Dozen stamp set onto a Katherine Label from Karen Burniston.

And lucky for me that this is an interactive challenge because I wanted to try making a double floating floor with Karen Burniston's new House & Fence Pop Up.  I used quite a few of her new stamp sets on this card and it is a bit bulky - but so cute!  To make the double floating floor, I die cut 2 of the floating floors, added another score line on the side that only had one and cut off the center bump.  I adhered the floors up to the score line one side at a time, then adhered the other end.  I also adhered the center portion of the floating floor together.  Because I had cut out the center bump, there was an area large enough to use the sleigh pop up mechanism.....and that's how the sleigh is adhered to the card.
Look at this cuteness overload!  I am loving the new Winter Animals and that gingerbread man from Winter Charms is just so cute.
The new Winter Animals have a bear, hedgehog and a penguin.   The Winter Charms has 2 different sizes of the following: snowflake, tree and gingerbread.
Here's a side view where you can see the little center area that the sleigh is attached to.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel
